Betty arrives at the triple engagement dinner party held at the Yacht Club at Fishermans Wharf, with a telegram for Kimmy and Jimmy from their parents.
Betty sings:
Afraid I have some sad news
The Gibblers cannot come
They send sincere regrets
Don't want to spoil your fun
She hands Kimmy a bottle of wine and leaves as an upset Kimmy runs out of the room.
